Styrian spring cleaning

Styrian spring cleaning on the Schöckl

On the Schöckl plateau in the Stubenberghaus area you will find a stand of the Graz Alpine Club section, where our nature conservation officer Nikola will be happy to give you information and rubbish bags from the "Styrian Spring Cleaning 2025" are available. The employees of the Graz-Umgebung waste management association will also be happy to provide you with information.
The stand is manned from 10:00 to 14:00. You can also get a rubbish bag there.

If you would like to collect rubbish while hiking up the Schöckl, you can get rubbish bags from the office.
Please bring your own gloves.

You can deposit your collection along the toll road (tarmac road) between the toll and the Stubenberghaus. Please leave it in a place that is clearly visible for the rubbish collection!

And to make collecting even easier, we look forward to a yodel or two!

Thank you for your help!

Weather & tour planning

Alpine Club Weather

  • Comprehensible text descriptions of the weather data by Geosphere Austria
  • Comprehensive presentation of the general weather situation in the Eastern and Western Alps with important parameters (temperature, zero degree limit, wind, fresh snow)
  • Detailed descriptions for individual Alpine regions and mountain groups
  • Ideal for an initial overview and basic tour planning
  • Updated once a day.

Meteoblue

  • Precise weather information with symbols and probabilities
  • Hourly weather forecasts available
  • Simple query of point weather via GPS coordinates
  • Rain radar for tracking approaching weather fronts
  • Particularly useful for short-term and detailed planning
  • Frequent updates of the data
